Pop-chips are not fried and not baked. They’re “popped” using heat + pressure — kinda like making tiny edible pressure-cookers explode.

Mixing the Raw Material

The base material is usually:

potato starch or potato granules

rice flour / corn flour
seasoning

a little oil (sometimes none)
moisture (very important)

This becomes a dough-like mixture or pellet.

2️ Feeding Into the Popping Mould

The prepared pellets or dough are fed into:

a heated mould (two round plates)

3️ Heat + Pressure Build-Up
